Voted “Best Real Estate Agent” in the 2019 & 2015 Winston-Salem Journal’s Reader’s Choice Awards, John McPherson has been a REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Advantage since 2003.

He is the founder and President of MKT Real Estate Group, LLC, and a licensed General Contractor building as McPherson Builders, LLC. John is also the host of the popular Camel City Chat podcast, where he spotlights stories and personalities across North Carolina and beyond.

John is honored to serve as the 2025 President of NC REALTORS®, continuing a legacy of service and leadership within the profession. He previously led as President of the Winston-Salem Regional Association of REALTORS® in 2020 and is a Golden R, Presidents Circle, and Hall of Fame Investor in the REALTOR® Party, advocating for homeownership, private property rights, and REALTOR® interests at every level.

A proud North Carolinian, John has lived in the state most of his life and now calls Clemmons home, where he enjoys life with his wife, Katherine, and their daughter, Laura.

John holds a BS in Communications from Appalachian State University and an MBA from Winston-Salem State University. He is a graduate of both the NC REALTORS® and National Association of REALTORS® Leadership Academies and is dedicated to lifelong learning, whether through industry conventions, collaboration with peers, or conversations with elected officials to champion the real estate profession.
